Passage 59: It Is Not About You or Me; It Is About Jesus

If you feel embarrassed, shy, or unworthy in preaching, talking, or sharing about Jesus — then ask: who is the focus in your life? Is it me or Jesus?

Sharing about Jesus is not about you doing good or bad. It is about Jesus who saves us.

We are saved because despite our failures and shortcomings, we seek for forgiveness and believe that we can be saved.

Our acts of kindness and charity do not earn us our salvation. They are merely an expression of the authenticity of our faith.

I do not think that James 2:26 contradicts the statement above. It simply confirms the statement: That from our heart, our mouth speaks and our deeds show.

26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.
James 2:26 (New International Version)

Read Romans 5:1-5

Grace is the antidote to sin and vice. Not our good works and not how hard we try.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

Prayer

Father in Heaven, grant us the courage to speak your words of forgiveness, love, and salvation.

I pray to grant me the humility to focus my actions in serving my King and Savior, Jesus.

Kindly grant me the fulfillment and wisdom of serving you.

This I ask, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
